In the workshop recently we had an absolutely stunning example of arguably the most iconic VW ever made, the mk2 Golf GTI and having owned one still my all time favourite cars of all time.
This car was no exception and in prime show condition with Original BBS RS043 alloy wheels which were an optional extra from the dealers which are pretty hard to come by nowadays.
The car was initially brought to us for a milltek exhaust manifold and downpipe upgrade but it’s fair to say the work quickly escalated into a serious project which included, Removal of the sub frame which was blasted and powder coated with a full compliment of Superpro bushes front to back including the rear beam axel. We also fitted Bilstien coil-overs and good-ridge brake hoses and Superpro control arms and anti roll bars front and rear. All in all a fairly big project with a huge amount of man hours and TLC but the end product was so worth it and the customer was absolutely delighted with the end product, all he needs now is for the British summer to kick in so he can go out and enjoy it !
